Welcome back! We are so excited to kick off what we know is about to be an action-packed spring semester. Some of our goals for this semester are to gain momentum with the Divest Harvard campaign, culminating in a week long event called Heat Week that will raise awareness about climate justice issues and create pressure for Harvard to divest, and to launch the Sweet Injustice project funded by the Office for Sustainability to educate the community about the injustices within the sugar industry. We also are working on creating and environmental justice coalition on campus, bringing together both environmental and social justice organizations. We plan to host social events that foster discussion, creativity, and fun, including mixers, a poetry night, and an interfaith event. If you are interested in getting involved, feel free to reach out to us at huej.info@gmail.com, or come to one of the events happening in the next two weeks:
Looking forward to a HUEJ semester!!
